BEEFY BISCUIT BAKE
adapted from Dump Dinner cookbook
1 pound lean ground beef
1 tablespoon dry onion soup mix
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup milk
1 can cream of mushroom or chicken soup, or my Homemade Version
1 small can or jar of sliced mushrooms, drained
1/2 teaspoon salt
pepper to taste
1 7 ounce can refrigerated biscuits
Brown ground beef and drain if necessary; set aside. In a large bowl whisk cream cheese until smooth. If you forget
to soften it like I did you can microwave it for 45 seconds and it will be perfect. Whisk in soup mix, salt, milk and
cream soup until well combined. Stir in ground beef and mushrooms and mix well. Pour into a greased 2 quart
casserole dish and bake at 375 for 30 minutes until hot and bubbly. Top with as many biscuits as you like and will
fit in the dish with a little space in between and bake another 13 minutes or until golden brown. To serve split biscuit
in half and top with ground beef mixture. Makes 4 - 6 servings.
