TATER TOT CASSEROLE
2 pounds ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
House Seasoning or salt and pepper
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup sour cream
8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
Place ground beef and onion in a large skillet and season with House Seasoning. Cook until done and
drain if necessary. Meanwhile in a medium bowl combine soup and sour cream until well combined.
Add just enough milk to make pourable, a bit like salad dressing. Mix into cooked beef and pour into
a sprayed 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Top with as many tater tots as desired. Sprinkle with cheese.
Bake, uncovered, 350 for 45 minutes.
You may also make in two 8 x 8 inch baking dishes to cook one and freeze one. To freeze, pour the
beef mixture into the dish and wrap tightly with plastic wrap. Put the cheese and the tater tots
in two separate freezer bags. Lay bags on top of casserole then wrap tightly in foil. Label and freeze.
Thaw beef mixture and cheese, but not the tater tots. Bake as directed above.
