SWEET TEA CHICKEN
4 cups boiling water
2 family size tea bags
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup kosher salt
1 small onion, thinly sliced
1 lemon, thinly sliced
3 cloves minced garlic
1 tablespoon black pepper
2 cups ice cubes
1 whole cut up chicken
Steep tea bags in boiling water for 10 minutes. Add remaining ingredients except ice cubes and stir to
dissolve sugar and salt. Add ice cubes and allow to cool completely. Place chicken in a gallon size plastic
bag, pour marinade over top and marinate overnight.* Be sure to sit the bag in a deep dish to prevent any
accidental spills. Cook chicken on grill to desired doneness. Chicken is very juice and flavorful!
*I let mine marinate for 2 days and it was just fine.
