PIZZA HOT DISH
8 ounces elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
16 ounces 93% lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves minced garlic
2 - 8 ounce cans tomato sauce
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
pepper to taste
2 eggs
1/2 cup skim milk
4 ounces shredded Cabot 75% light cheddar cheese
Set macaroni aside while you cook the meat sauce. Season the hamburger with House Seasoning or salt and pepper and brown with the onions and garlic until done. Add the tomato sauce and seasonings and cook another 5 - 10 minutes. In the mean time whisk the egg in a large bowl then whisk in the milk. Add the macaroni. If the meat sauce is still real hot temper the macaroni mixture first my adding a spoonful of the meat sauce into and stirring around. Then add the remaining meat sauce into the macaroni mixture. Pour into a greased 3 quart baking dish and top with the cheese. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until bubbly and the cheese has melted.
Makes 6 servings.
All plans 8 points as written.
Next time I would add 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning and 2 teaspoons onion powder to boost the pizza flavor.
To lower the points just make some ingredients swaps for the meat and the noodles (on Purple).
