PIZZA BURGERS
1 pound 96% lean ground beef
1/4 of an 8 ounce package mushrooms, chopped
1/4 onion, chopped
1/4 green pepper, chopped
1/4 cup tomato sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon oregano
salt and pepper, to taste
TOPPING PER BURGER
1/8 cup Great Value Pizza Sauce, or your favorite
1/8 cup shredded fat free mozzarella cheese
4 slices Great Value turkey pepperoni, sliced
Saute vegetables until softened and set aside. Meanwhile stir spices into the tomato sauce and add to meat along with the vegetables. Mix to make sure everything is evenly distributed. Divide into patties and fry until desired doneness. With patties still in pan top each one with mozzarella cheese then cover and let start to melt but not form one piece of melted cheese. To serve place burger on a bun and top with pepperoni and pizza sauce. Be sure to warm pizza sauce in the microwave first. Makes 4 burgers
