PIONEER GRAVY BREAKFAST CASSEROLE
1 pound bulk breakfast sausage, cooked, crumbled and drained. I used Butterball turkey sausage
1 package Pioneer Country Gravy mix, prepared as directed of package
6 eggs
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Place cooked sausage in a sprayed 9 x 9 inch baking dish; set aside. If your gravy is still hot you'll
need to temper the eggs before adding them to it. Start by beating the eggs in a separate bowl
and pour a small amount of hot gravy into the eggs. Stir to combine, I stirred in just a little
more gravy just to make sure the eggs were warmed sufficiently because my gravy was screaming
hot. Then pour the eggs into the pot of gravy and stir to mix well. Pour this over top of the sausage
Bake at 350 for 25 -30 minutes or until the center is set. Remove from oven, sprinkle with cheese
and bake another couple of minutes just until the cheese is melted. Makes 6 servings.
