NUTRISYSTEM CHILI BEANS
adapted from a Nutrisystem recipe
1 tablespoon avocado or olive oil
1/2 chopped onion, or more to taste
1 clove minded garlic
2 teaspoons chili powder, or to taste
1 teaspoon cumin, or to taste
1 pound lean hamburger
House Seasoning, or salt and pepper
1 can petite diced tomatoes, undrained
3 tablespoon tomato paste
1 can beef broth
1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
Heat a heavy Dutch oven and add the oil. Add onion, chili powder, cumin and garlic and cook 1 to 2 minutes
to combine the spices. Add the hamburger, season with House Seasoning. Cook and crumbled hamburger until
completely done. Add tomato paste and tomatoes and stir to mix in the paste. Then add the broth and beans and
bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes or until chili is as thick as you like it. Makes 4 servings.
