MUSHROOM & SWISS BURGER

8 ounces baby bella mushrooms, cleaned and stemmed
1 cup finely chopped yellow onion
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
8 ounces lean ground beef
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
4 slices reduced-fat Swiss cheese

Add mushrooms to food processer and pulse until coarsely chopped. Spray a large frying pan with cooking spray
and cook onions and garlic for about 3 minutes. Add mushrooms and half the salt and pepper and continue to
cook until mushrooms and onions are done and all liquid has evaporated. Remove from pan and let cool.
Place beef in a large bowl and add cooled mushroom mixture, Worcestershire sauce and remaining salt and pepper.
Mix to combine and shape into 2 patties. Using either grill pan or frying pan cook the burgers on both sides
until done to your liking. Turn off the heat, top each one with a slice of cheese, cover and allow to melt in the heat of the pan.
Serve with steak sauce. Makes 2 servings.
