INSTANT POT BEEF STEW
1 - 2 pounds beef stew meat
House Seasoning
large chopped onion
chopped celery, optional
large chunks potatoes
baby carrots
2 cups reconstituted dry onion soup mix
minced garlic
1 tablespoon tomato paste
Put meat in pot and season well. Add the tomato paste and garlic then just put everything else on top. It doesn't even matter if the meat is frozen. Hit the Meat/Stew button and adjust to 35 minutes, if needed, then do a NR for 10 minutes. You can leave it as is or thicken. To thicken turn the pot off and then back on Saute. Mix a couple tablespoons of cornstarch with water and stir into stew then cook on Saute until it thickens. If you don't want the potatoes to fall apart you may choose to remove all the solids with a slotted spoon and thicken the sauce by itself. Then mix it all back together.
Number of servings and points will be different for each pot of stew so weigh and measure the final amount.
