GARLIC PARMESAN GREEN BEANS WITH BACON
1 pound fresh green beans
5 slices bacon
1 tablespoon butter
1 large teaspoon minced garlic
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste
Wash, trim and cut green beans into smaller bite sized pieces. Place in boiling water and boil until
done to your desired tenderness. While beans are boiling dice the bacon and fry until crispy. Remove
with a slotted spoon and either discard grease or save for later and set bacon aside. When beans are
done drain them; set aside. Melt butter in the same pan the bacon was fried in. Stir in garlic then add
green beans and salt and pepper to taste. Add bacon, sprinkle with cheese and stir until mixed in and
heated through. Makes 4 servings.
