COWBOY SPAGHETTI
3 slices bacon ( I used Neese's brand)
1 medium chopped onion, chopped
1 medium chopped bell pepper, any color
3 - 4 cloves minced garlic
1 - 2 teaspoons oregano
1 pound 96% lean ground beef
House Seasoning, or salt and pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
14-ounce can fire roasted diced tomatoes
8-ounce can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon Texas Pete hot sauce, to taste (or any brand you prefer)
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
cooked spaghetti (not calculated in points)
shredded cheese (not calculated in points)
Fry bacon pieces until slightly crisp about 5 - 6 minutes. Add mushrooms, onions, garlic and seasonings and cook about 3 - 4 minutes more until vegetables are softened. Add beef and sprinkle with House Seasoning. Brown until fully cooked. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, hot sauce and Worcestershire. Simmer about 10 minutes. Taste and adjust seasonings as desired. Makes 4 1-cup servings or 6 2/3-cup servings. Serve over cooked spaghetti and top with cheese which have not been calculated into the points.
