CHILI BEANS
1 pound 96% lean hamburger
1 small onion, chopped
1 can no-salt tomato sauce (8 ounce)
1 - 2 cans kidney beans, drained or 2 cups cooked kidney beans from dry
1 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon dried onion flakes
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon paprika
2 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1 tsp beef bouillon
3/4 cup water, plus more as needed
Brown hamburger and onion. Mix dry ingredients and add to hamburger along with tomato sauce and water. Stir to mix well then add beans. Cook until thickened adding more water as needed.
Makes 8 - 1/2 cup servings. Blue & Purple (1) Green to also be determined by how much kidney beans are used.
