BBQ HOT DOGS
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup chopped onions, or to taste
3/4 cup chopped celery
3 ounces water
3/4 cup ketchup
1/2 tablespoon yellow mustard
2 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 package of hot dogs
In a medium size pot melt the butter and cook the onion until tender. Add all the remaining ingredients,
except the hot dogs and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 30 minutes. While the sauce
is cooking prepare the hot dogs. Cut three slits down each side of the hot dogs, being sure not to cut
all the way through. Put into a 2 quart baking dish and pour the finished sauce over top. Cover and bake
at 350 for 40 minutes. Serve as is or in buns.
