BAKED PASTA
1 pound ground meat, cooked and drained*
1 jar spaghetti sauce
1 can chicken broth
8 ounces dry pasta (elbows, penne, rotini), uncooked
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Mix everything except the cheese in a sprayed 9 x 13 baking dish. Cover with foil and bake at 350 for 35 - 40 minutes or until
pasta is done to your liking. then remove foil, sprinkle with cheese and bake until melted. Makes 10 servings.
Points are determined by the exact ingredients you use. *I used precooked hamburger & onions that I had stored in the freezer.
I weighed it, cooked, before adding to the dish and only had 11 ounces. A pound of cooked hamburger is roughly 12 ounces.
It may or may not have affected points but don't take a hit for food your not using!
I originally made this recipe with meatballs when we were doing a home renovation and had a limited kitchen. I could bake
the meatballs first on a foil lined baking pan and save an extra pot to clean up than if I had browned hamburger.
Either way works just fine!
