HOMEMADE SHAKE AND BAKE
3 cups plain dry breadcrumbs
3 tablespoons plain cornmeal, not cornmeal mix
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon celery seed
Add all ingredients to a food processor and process about 30 seconds or just until the ingredients
are all well combined. Store in an airtight container. Makes six 1/2cup portions.
To make boneless, skinless chicken breasts shake each breast into a little over a tablespoon of mix
and place on a sprayed baking sheet. Bake at 400 for about 25 - 30 minutes or until the center
is at a temperature of at least 165.
