HOMEMADE HAMBURGER HELPER

1 pound 93% lean ground beef, or your choice of ground meat
House Seasoning or salt and pepper
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon paprika
2 cups skim milk
1 1/2 cup hot water
2 cups dry elbow macaroni
1 1/2 cups cheddar Velveeta shreds
Heat a Dutch oven and drizzle a bit of olive oil or use cooking spray and add the ground beef. Season and cook until done. Drain if
necessary. Sprinkle with seasonings and cornstarch and stir to combine. Add water and milk. Bring to a boil then add macaroni.
Lower heat to a simmer, cover and cook until macaroni is done to you liking. Stir every now and then to prevent sticking.
Turn off heat and add cheese. Stir until cheese is melted. Makes approximately 6 - 1 cup servings.
