COUNTRY FRIED HAMBURGER STEAKS

1 pound ground beef, shaped into 4 patties
1/2 cup plain flour
salt and pepper to taste
3/4 cup buttermilk
1 cup crushed saltine crackers
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 soup can milk

Begin by setting up coatings.  In one bowl mix flour, salt and pepper.  In a second bowl add buttermilk
and in a third bowl add cracker crumbs.  Dip each patty into flour on both sides, then buttermilk on
both sides and finally cracker crumbs on both sides.  Place in a large skillet and fry on both sides until
golden brown.  Remove from pan.  Add mushroom soup and milk and stir until completely combined
and comes to the boil.  Add steaks back to the pan, cover and simmer until they are completely done.
