BAKED FRIED CHICKEN
4 pieces bone-in chicken pieces with skin intact
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
1 cup all purpose flour
2 teaspoons garlic salt
2 teaspoons Accent seasoning
black pepper, to taste
Beat egg and milk together in a small bowl and set aside. In a plastic bag shake together flour
and seasonings and set aside. Heat a large skillet and then add 2 or 3 tablespoons oil. Dip chicken
in egg mixture and shake in flour. Place in heated oil and fry on both sides until golden brown,
We're not cooking the chicken through, just browning thoroughly. Add browned chicken to a sprayed
casserole dish and cover tightly with foil. Bake at 325 for 50 minutes covered. Remove foil and bake
for another 10 minutes. You may test the temperature of the chicken to make sure it is cooked completely.
Don't waste those good drippings in the bottom of your pan. Make a simple gravy to serve over some
creamed potatoes or biscuits.
